The Roc d’Azur CIC offers a wide range of sporting events showcasing every form of cycling (MTB, e-MTB, gravel, road cycling), along with trail running and hiking. All of this takes place in a dream setting across Fréjus, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Saint-Raphaël, and the Estérel Côte d’Azur region.

A “Clean Walk” for environmental preservation

Respecting the environment is not just a priority for Roc d’Azur CIC — it’s a given. Every year, participants, whether on bikes or on foot, enjoy an exceptional natural setting in the Maures and Estérel mountain ranges. In cooperation with both local and national partners (National Forestry Office, Coastal Conservatory), Roc d’Azur CIC works to protect the idyllic landscapes it uses. Course design and event practices prioritize the preservation of protected areas (Natura 2000 zones, sensitive natural areas). Waste management has also been optimized through sorting and recycling. To further protect the area, a “Clean Walk” will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., in collaboration with the association Clean my Nature. The goal: to collect as much waste as possible along the Reyran riverbanks, which flow into the Argens near Fréjus, just a few meters from the beach and the François Léotard nature base. The event is free and open to everyone.

Solidarity Bike Collection: 100 bikes donated at Roc d’Azur CIC

This year, Roc d’Azur CIC is teaming up with the eco-organization Ecologic to promote bike collection and reuse through the “Grande Récup’ Vélos Solidaires” campaign, running until October 8. With 800 collection points across France, Ecologic has already collected 18,000 bikes as part of this initiative. Among these, 100 refurbished bikes will be donated to priority schools in Fréjus and to local clubs affiliated with the French Cycling Federation during the event, to encourage cycling among young people. The handover ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 11 at 12:30 p.m. on the Village podium.

Young riders: the precious legacy of Roc d’Azur CIC

Young participants have always been central to Roc d’Azur CIC, with multiple dedicated events, from the Kid Roc Balance Bike to the Roc Generations and Kids Roc. For this edition, 1,300 children are expected. Because these future generations are the legacy of Roc d’Azur CIC, several initiatives have been designed to enrich their experience:

  • 3,000 educational booklets combining health, nutrition, safety, and environmental content with games, created with CIC, will be distributed to 9–12-year-olds at the Village, cycling school license holders, and local schools in Fréjus.
  • Elementary classes in Fréjus will be invited to the Village to explore Roc d’Azur and enjoy a cycling training track as part of the “Learn to Ride” program led by the French Cycling Federation.
  • A life-sized treasure hunt will also be organized in the Village for the youngest participants.

Gustave Roussy Institute present for “Pink October”

As part of its commitment to solidarity, Roc d’Azur CIC welcomes Gustave Roussy Institute, Europe’s leading cancer research center. The Institute will be present in the Village for Pink October, the global campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer screening and fund research.

New partners for Roc d’Azur CIC 2025

The 2025 edition is set to be marked by the arrival of new partners and the strengthening of longstanding alliances.

  • Thule, new Premium Partner, will host a 400 m² stand with family-friendly activities. The brand is also innovating with two new official races: Thule Roc Canicross and Thule Roc CaniMTB, in collaboration with Antony Le Moigne, the Antibes Canine Club, and FFSLC. Thule will also present its “Adventure Life” concept in France for the first time — a premium camp for roof-tent vehicles offering exclusive experiences, ambassador meetups, and a convivial nature atmosphere.
  • Škoda will join as an official partner, strengthening its presence in sports and sustainable mobility.
  • Julbo (technical eyewear) and Continental (high-performance tires) will become official suppliers, showing the event’s appeal to innovative and iconic brands close to riders.

Canyon: 20 years of innovation celebrated
